This historic 1920's vintage hotel building was originally named Hotel Vinograd (meaning "grapes" in Russian) and has recently been remodeled into apartments. Our location is in the heart of Boyle Heights, a neighborhood just East of Downtown LA (just over one mile to the Arts District across the LA River). Cesar Chavez Avenue was originally named "Brooklyn Avenue" until it was renamed in 1996 to reflect the dominantly Latino demographic shift of the neighborhood.
